The size of the load preload must be selected properly. Too much pre tightening will not achieve the purpose of pre tightening. Too much pre tightening will increase the contact stress and friction resistance of the bearing, resulting in the reduction of bearing life. Two factors should be taken into consideration in determining the load preload of the bearing: (1) the speed of operation; (2) the size of the working load. If the running speed is high, it is appropriate to choose small pre load. The operation speed is low, it is appropriate to choose a large amount of pre load. If the work load is small (light load), small pre load should be selected. If the working load is medium or large, the amount of pre load should be increased. Such a choice can achieve a reasonable balance between the rotation precision, the support stiffness and the bearing life of three. It is important to note that the preload is a little greater than the working load.
